Sharing Your Game With the Community
Sharing Your Game With the Community
Hi everyone! It's time for another Peva Tutorial! I made this tutorial because I never acutally knew how to share my game with the community, and thought this would help!
Step 1: Make your game
First off, you need to make your game. Demo's work as well, but make sure you have at least half an hour of game play before you try to share your game with the community. Don't know how to make your game? Wrong topic, download the program, then look at another tutorial like Aindra's School.
Step 2: Compression
The most important step! Compression! First off, save your project! (You should be doing this constantly anyways...) Now, you have two sub. options.
1.
3. Uploading Your File
Now, in order to upload your file to the internet, you will need an account on a file-hosting website. I recommend Mediafire if the file is 100MB or less, and MegaUpload if it's any bigger. This tutorial will show how to upload using Mediafire.
First, go to the website on an internet browser.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial! Be sure to check all my tutorials and always search before asking a question!
Well, happy RMing

Your game is now compressed! Now, you can either skip up to step 3, or you can also use sub. step 2.
- Spoiler:
- In order to shrink game size, some people also like to compress ine game in a .rar or .zip archive. First off, you need to download winrar. Then, select your file...

Now, you can also compress the executable file (Blue Box) into an archive to help reduce the size a bit. Now, continue on to step 3.

This is very helpful for beginners, Peva.
Have you tried DropBox? I recommend that ,too, for dual purpose:
sharing and backing-up.
