Sharing Your Game With the Community

Hi everyone! It's time for another Peva Tutorial! I made this tutorial because I never acutally knew how to share my game with the community, and thought this would help!

Step 1: Make your game
First off, you need to make your game. Demo's work as well, but make sure you have at least half an hour of game play before you try to share your game with the community. Don't know how to make your game? Wrong topic, download the program, then look at another tutorial like Aindra's School.

Step 2: Compression
The most important step! Compression! First off, save your project! (You should be doing this constantly anyways...) Now, you have two sub. options.
1.

2.

3. Uploading Your File
Now, in order to upload your file to the internet, you will need an account on a file-hosting website. I recommend Mediafire if the file is 100MB or less, and MegaUpload if it's any bigger. This tutorial will show how to upload using Mediafire.
First, go to the website on an internet browser.
Spoiler:
Now, make an account on that website. After you save your password and user name to automatically log in, go to http://www.mediafire.com/myfiles.php. Then, click on "Upload to this Folder"
Spoiler:
You will see this:
Spoiler:
Now click on "Click here to chose files for upload" in the middle. Then select your executable file, zip file, or rar file by clicking "Browse" then select "Begin Uploading Files". Now wait until the bar at the bottom reaches 100%. Congratulations, your file is now on the internet! Click on your file and it should take you to the download page. Copy the link for that, post it here within another topic and say it is your demo! Congrats, you are done, and I can stop typing!

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial! Be sure to check all my tutorials and always search before asking a question!

Well, happy RMing Wink

This is very helpful for beginners, Peva. Smile
Have you tried DropBox? I recommend that ,too, for dual purpose:
sharing and backing-up. Smile

You should recommend DropBox to Dez then before he loses his data again.
