Dream Wars [VX MMO]

I just need someone to map the city at the beginning, I'm not good at the exteriors of cities, but I can do the interiors.

You remember WoW? You begin in a small "village" or "town", which is a bit close to the race's main city. I say that is an excellent idea, the cities are too overloaded with features, and the village is much better for starters (only has quests and trainers)...
Well, maybe you won't be putting too many features so maybe it is ok to make a city as the starting point......

It's not really gonna be a "city", it'll be more like a village, kind of like WoW, but not really. There is only 1 race, but there is going to be a capital city and possibly one more outlying, it's going to be a small game to start off with, very small.

You should divide players somehow. If not by race, then by region/kingdom. It is very boring to play something without someone to crush due to political reasons

Not necessarily in Lord of the Rings you start as a human in a jail. All you have to do is escape and go to town it's a great and simple intro. your trapped you find the key open the door and kill some guards then you go back to town. Also like in Dungeons and Dragons Online you should start in like a newbie guild and have trainers as omegadev suggested and have like traning areas before you enter the town.

Well, I don't plan on there being a big amount of players on at once, so splitting them would strain the amount of players to communicate with.

I'm hoping to have the starting area just a simple village that teaches you the basics of the game and gets you going, sort of like WoW. I don't like to completely rip ideas from games though, so I'm going to have to go at it in my own way, I'll put some thought into it. After all, it's going to be a while before these scripts get done.

WoW to me ir sucks. I only play it cuz Mr.T and Ozzy play it . Oh and I'm gonna find out if they have FPS script cuz if they do I'll build up a game so hardcore it'll pwn COD and Medal of Honor COMBINED

I've been thinking of some names for the game.. here's a few that came to mind:

Dark Age
Dark Age Online
Age of Turmoil
Age of War

I should have more later.

Dark Age online it's good because it's med-evil everyone likes Med-Evil and Celtic times. Dark Age will also attract Raibai's Emo's Goth's and Rockers. So that's good

I lol'd, but I want to put more thought into it, I want to make sure that it works and fits right.

Ok let's review your MMO. It starts in Celtic Med-Evil times. It is like a war . So either Age of War or Dark Age Online would fit.

It is going to be medieval for sure, but as for what's going on in the world, I'm not sure sure yet. There's still a lot to think through.

I understand maybe it coulden't be a world maybe it's just a free-play like do whatever you want but that would be clueless you should have like story quests

C'mon! I'd so play a MMO with that name.

Also, just so you guys know, the name is going to tell the story of the game, once I get the name figured out, the story line will go from there.

How bout something like Bloodshed Online or Celtic Wars

I'm REALLY loathing putting the word "Online" in the title. I just don't like it, it's too common, I want something very unique, something that would make people say "Why didn't I think of that?".

Edit: To me, the name is one of the biggest features about a game.

I just don't know about the word Celtic, it's a US based game, not European. I had a couple more ideas though, I was listening to Dream Theater and the name gave me a couple ideas.

Thank you, and there is always room for more spriters, as this game will require an extensive amount of hair styles, skin colors, armor, weapons, etc. When the need arises, I will request something though, so be on the lookout.
