- Spoiler:
In the kingdom of Movius, the trees swaying peacefully, the seas waving silently, the clean air going inside you .. Until the Monolith is built, it caused the world to fall apart and was throbbed by shadow .. The only way to cleanse darkness, is to destroy the Monolith.. A man tried to destroy the Monolith but it was no effect on the great mysterious rock, After some days the Monolith punished. The Monolith is a giant mysterious rock- the last magical structure to exist in the whole of Movius- that caused the world to fall apart and be throttled by shadow. The only way to cleanse the world of the ever-present darkness is to destroy the Monolith. A foolish man from the remote town of Lyrielle tried to destroy the rock, but to no avail. The Monolith stayed ever-strong, and after some days the Monolith punished Lyrielle for its impudence,The ocean that lapped the shores of Lyrielle's picturesque beach was lifted up in the sky, leaving the town without water to drink and fish to catch. Only the Mermaid Queen's voice can return the ocean to its former state, however it is only a matter of time before the inhabitants of Lyrielle die of thirst. There is only one man who can control the Monolith. This man can cast thunderstorms, call earthquakes, and cause horrifying blizzards, if he so pleases.
To destroy the Monolith, it's master must be found, and defeated. But how can you find someone who is determined to be kept hidden?
Story of the Sky Ocean and the Mermaid's Melody
- Spoiler:
Large pine trees loomed over Ardelia as she walked with her sword by her side, along the ever-so-familiar dirt road. She had been walking for quite a while now, with the shade of the trees washing over her. As she went on, she knew it wasn't much further before she would reach the clearing. After a few more seconds of treading, sunlight finally began peering through the small slits between the large tree leaves.
It was a perfect time for training, it wasn't too hot, and the cool breeze was just right. After setting up the training dummy, she cracked her knuckles and unsheathed her sword. And so, her training began.
"Yaaaah!" She slashed at the training dummy and, as always, nothing happened.
She sighed, and continued her training nevertheless. Forty-nine minutes had passed, and Ardelia's frustration grew high, tired of training on the dummy. It was at that time when suddenly, the ground raged and shook with great force. Ardelia grew both cautious and afraid; she looked around her, but failed to find a source of the turmoil.
Ardelia decided that it was best to return, before whatever the cause of the disturbance could find her. Rain began to fall as she started to find her way back. Strong winds began to pick up as well, dispersing the rain droplets in every direction. The rainfall showed no signs of calming down, in fact, it grew stronger as every minute passed by. The clouds overhead darkened ominously, and the wind swayed the trees as if they were grass.
Ardelia increased her pace, up to the point that she was already running from the ever-worsening weather. As she made out her familiar village, she bolted towards her own house. She stopped for a moment and glanced at the ocean - it had begun to convulse, and odd shapes could be seen in the large body of water. The ocean seemed to be alive, twisting and writhing in its own place. The liquid seemed to be rising, until the ocean was above the houses and the trees.
Ardelia stood still, immobilized for a few seconds by her own disbelief. At that point, she instinctively went towards the Elder's residence. The Elder was facing the window, watching the scene unfold before his very eyes. It wasn't before long until Ardelia entered.
"Ah, I knew you would come." he sighed.
"Elder! What in the world is happening?!" Ardelia demanded.
"It is one of the punishments of the Monolith." the elder responded, before letting out yet another sigh.
"Then how do we stop this?!" Ardelia wondered.
"There are only seconds remaining before this torment of wind and rain ceases. However, if the legends are true, then the ocean will remain in the sky until the Mermaid Queen returns it to normal. She must be found, and be convinced to help us."
"Then, Elder, wouldn't that be an easy task? Mermaids live in the ocean, and as the ocean is now above us, she'll be easier to find."
"If only it were, young Ardelia. The Mermaid Queen is not your typical mermaid. She certainly does not lurk within our own waters, nor does she visit our land. Finding her will be difficult, if not impossible. I'm afraid I will have to send out many people to search for her..." the elder explained.
"I'll go! I've been training in that forest for three years, Elder. I'm ready to put my abilities to use." said Ardelia.
"I cannot allow that, Ardelia. You are very young, and I will most certainly not send out mere children into the dangerous lands beyond the forest."
The Elder looked quizzically at Ardelia, measuring her reaction. He sighed, again, and turned away. Ardelia felt anger building up inside her.
"I want to be useful, and I'm not a child!" she thought to herself.
She opened the Elder's door, turned to face him, and muttered, "I'm going anyway. You can't stop me." She walked out into the rain, and slammed the door shut.
The Elder looked up to the Sky Ocean. "I know, Ardelia. I know."

Re: Sky Ocean: Mermaid Melody
Weirdly, it got me interested. In a normal setting I'd dismiss it as a "girl game", but I'm waiting for a demo to come out
