RPG clichés

Let's compile a list of all those RPG clichés! It'd be helpfull for future games so we know what to avoid. Here are some:

The "Snap! I'm late for the [event goes here]" beginning
The orphan protagonist
The slime monster
The big opressing evil kingdom plot
The kidnapped girlfriend plot
The friend-becomes-final-boss ending
The party is composed by a warrior, an archer, a mage and a fourth character (Thief, healer, etc.)

You forgot a few things.
Students.
A burning village at the start.

The last one Vectomon is more than true.

I have some of my own.
- A parent died before you were born and the other parent sends you off on your quest.
- Fighting the final boss twice. The first time in the middle of the game where he's practically invincible, and the second time for real.
- All bosses being invincible against all status conditions. So don't bother using a 'Confusion Blast' on your Slime King because it will just bounce off.
- Your main character is young and wants to take vengeance on someone for no reason. This character had no training before but is still skilled in the art of fighting.

-A relationship in every freaking game.

Well, that's not really a cliché. Relationships are always there, in games or in the real life.

My point exactly and the furry dancing thing is kinda disturbing

16-year old male hero

Old mentor guy who knew your now-dead parents, usually father, who teaches you all he knows. And generally dies later on.

Yeah, that's a good one.
Another one is the "But this great power was scattered and hidden all over the world and now you must travel and stuff to gather them and defeat the great evil!" plot.

The hero who has to fulfill his/her family's legacy.

protagonist that dosent want to be doing what he is doing

There's a big modern cliché of taking the piss out of clichés.

The antagonist is the Hero's father.

Luke...! I am your....anybody?

The enemy is ususally an Archfiend type monster

Saving people's lives and them just deciding to join your party. Didn't they have lives before you and your ragtag group came along?!
