Making new party members the same level as old ones
Hi! I'm Peva. I made this tutorial because I have seen people ask this question a few times. How do I make new party members the same level as my old ones?
Step 1: Variables Fix
First off, you need the variables fix if you don't already have it. You can find that here--- http://www.rpgmakervx.com/Game_Interpreter_fixed.txt If you don't know how to install it, look here--- http://www.rpgmakervx.com/variables-fix
Step 2: Pre-adding
After that is in, it's time to make the event! First, have all the dialog and movement or whatever you will have that happens prior to the new actor joining your part. Check some eventing tutorials on how to make this look nice and scenic.
Step 3: Naming your variable
Then, before they join, go to CONTROL VARIABLES. Make a new variable and call it "Initial level" or whatever you want.
Step 4: Adding the actor
After it is named, have the control variables event control the first actor's level.
Once they are in the party, go to change levels.
And there we go! All done!
Well, I have also made a demo for convenience. It also includes the features of allowing you to make an actor higher or lower by a set amount versus the actor!
Well, happy RMing!
