Question: How do I change my characters sprite?
Answer: Go onto the database (the icon with loads of sheets piled on each other in the project editor), click the Actors Tab, and click underneath where it says Character Graphic:. (The box with loads of squares)

Question: How do I put my characters talking to each other?
Answer: Create a new event in the map, in the event command list pick "Message" command, then simply write what you want the character to say, then pick the face of that character.

Question: What is a RPG Maker VX Event Switch?
Answer: A switch is an event that can trigger one of two events. The event that is triggered is determined by whether the switch is on or off.

Question: In what situation can I use a switch?
Answer: A switch is most commonly used to end an autorun/parallel process event. Such as when the switch is off, there is a guy making a speech, and then the switch is on and he stops talking.
