Roleplay Etiquette
The whole point of roleplaying is to have fun and be creative. SO HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE. Just don't ruin it for others too.
There are a number of different ways to rp (roleplay) and every GM (game master - person in charge of the rp) will do things differently, but there are three things you need to remember to have an enjoyable rp for everyone:
Ignoring people and making rash decisions is all well and good, so long as it's in character. There's nothing wrong with having a bit of a dickish character - it creates conflict. Also, while some people just have bad grammar and whatever, that's my personal problem. Just make it understandable unless, obviously, the GM's rules are different.
Think I've missed anything out? Feel I'm being completely unreasonable? Just wanna hurl abuse at me? Post it here, except for the abuse hurlers - You can fuck off.

- Follow the GM's rules. Generally this'll be the person who started the topic. Whatever they say goes. You don't like a rule, shoot them a PM, or just don't join in. Simple.
- Only post in an RP if you are going to actually add to the story. Watching a story is fine, but please don't interupt the story unless you are particpating. Generally the letters ooc (Out Of Context) signify something not relevant to the story/not in character. Again, if you're asking to join or something and the rp has started, take it to PM, otherwise you break the flow.
- Do not godmod. Godmodding is acting as if you are invincible, and generally playing by your rules when you are not in charge.

Re: Roleplay Etiquette
These are reasonable rules. Unfortunately I don't have power here so I can't stickie this myself.

Re: Roleplay Etiquette
I would but there are loadsa different ways to do it.
edit: Unless you meant general things, like character creation, acting in character, not being OP (over powered), etc.

Re: Roleplay Etiquette
Hmmm, thanks for posting this IMP. I think these guidelines/rules are a good fit.
I'm not big on the RP myself, but it's good to have some structure, you know?
