Well,almost like it.But the skills can be different.The add-on I would like would be....none for now.Yes,I need animations with it too.If we were to make a battle system like that,the game in which it'll be used won't be a normal RMVX game.The battle system is just too good(for me).

Oh!!!!Yes.That too.Or like the character jumps towards the enemy and the screen fades to black and and some silver lines appear on the screen and you know what I'm talking about.

You're probably already aware that not everyone here has played said games, me being one of them. If anyone is willing to script a whole battle system based on that, you, and just you will have to make a deep, large and detailed instruction sheet for the scripter to follow, for he/she probably won't start researching about said battle system. So technically, all, and only all that is in the sheet of instructions will be made by the scripter, and no more. From the very, very start of the battle scene, through the description of how and where are the characters aligned, about battler movement, turns, attacking, using items, using skills, defending, dying, getting hurt, escaping animations, to the very end of the battle scene.

That might take pretty long to make, but a well-made instructions sheet makes it much easier for the scripter to work with, instead of a post lacking 95% of the information required.

Also, I don't know anything about scripting but I think the biggest difficulty would be the hexagons on a tile-based engine.

To be honest, I think it's nearly impossible to script that, but it might not be. I don't know, I'm not a scripter...

I knew it was going to be almost impossible but I thought why not asking first.Okay then,after I'm done with my Game Gale entry,I'll write a full-fledged instruction for the battle system.(Looks like I'm gonna have to play Wild Arms 5 once again *sigh*)

The only tile-based thing in RM is the map. A battle scene is a different wicked world Wink

Well I have played wild arms maybe I can help....
1. the battle field consist of 7 hexagons...you can only move on the hexagons...

2. This is a turn based battle system, the characters and enemy turns are shown at the top.

3. hmm well to start inless it is a certain magic or attack you can only attack the enemy if you are in the hexagon next to it....(one hexagon away from the enemy)

4. You can move on the characters turn to another hexagon...but the hexagon must be next to the character...and can not be occupied by enemy.

5. boss fights, some bosses take up two or more hexagons...

6. When a character dies you can still move into there spot...but the dead character cannot move...

I hope this helps a little
just saying tho this sounds very hard to script way more difficult then sideview...

Thanks for the points there Light. I didn't know anyone else beside me has played Wild Arms xD Though I hate Wild Arms 4 because I couldn't kill that vampire-girl-thingy or whatever she was because I always avoided battling, my level was low O.O

welcome here is a little more points i remember...
1. some hexagons can have an element on it or a status booster...
wich can work for or against you...such as if an enemy is in a water hexagon and you use a lightning attack well you know the story lol

2. I believe you can only heal next to or on an friends hexagon

I think thats all...

I have only played WA3 sooo i cant say what WA4 is like....

WA3 has the HEX battle system?! I didn't know that anyways, here are a few by me:
1. Two team members can perform a special move when a specific gauge is full. Like the Overdrive thingy. And they can only perform it when standing on the same HEX.

3. You can only run away when you're standing on the left-most, right-most, up-most, down-most HEX. Same goes for the Lower right, Lower left, Upper right and Upper left HEXes.

3. In the end of the battle, the camera closes up to the character who delivered the last attack on the enemy and then does the victory pose.

I'll write more when I remember.

There was this thingy that you can attack an enemy from a long range. You can only do that if you're one HEX away from your enemy. This can only be done horzintly, diagonly and verticly.
