Hello, people! As you know, OmegaDev is growing decently fast thanks to all of you! Now, in order to keep things running smoothly, spam-free, and epic, we will need to put some people in charge of OmegaDev's sections. Mature, dedicated, experienced, ~~power abusing~~ respectful people!
Now, let me explain. There are 3 types of moderators:

Development Moderators control the VX Development Area (Project Development, Recruitment, Support, Discussions, Tutorials and Event Systems) and the eventing shops.

Resource Moderators control the Resources Plaza (General, VX, XP graphics and Music) and the Graphic/Audio shops forums.

The Coding Moderators control the Coding Plaza (RGSS/2 scripts, support, and tutorials) and the Scripting shops forum.

What about the other forums?
Like Announcements, General chat, etc... I will be moderating them for now.

What can a moderator do?

Open/Close topics.
Create sticky topics.
Warn members (edit warn bar)..
Punch Dezz in the stomach.
Move topics.
Abuse of defenseless users.
Access to staff-only forum, where we discuss how to torture users etc.

How many moderators are we recruiting?
Maybe two resource moderators, one coding moderator, and one development moderator.

When will the moderators be announced?
I don't know. :p

What do I need before applying for a moderating position?

Be mature & respectul with the users.
Be skilled/experienced in the moderating field you're taking.
Decent activity in the forums.
Decent support to the forums (submitted useful resources/tutorials/scripts/etc).

Rules before applying!
First of all, all applications must be sent through a PM to me. Second, only apply if you know you will really contribute with the community. Third, click the "Rules" button at the top of the forum (green button), and read the rules (or click here). If you don't read them now, you will be rejected. Seriously, it is a filter to make sure you really did read this whole topic.

There won't be just "Moderators" anymore. Dezz123 was downgraded to user. He can still apply to any of the above positions though.

Ah I see well I really wanna be Delopment Mod because I like making games, playing games, and yeah. But I don't think I would be wanted alot. Anyway Cool you finnaly made it Omegas Very Happy

If you guys want to be a mod, you should be responsible of not posting things not related to the topic. As said, one must be 'mature' enough. Razz

That said, I will apply as a Resource Mod. Smile

(Actually, I can take all positions, but I'm best at making resources)

Not applying or anything, but personally, I think assigning a bunch of mods is a bit early.
You've only gotten 54 members, very few of which are active, in the 3 months the board has been created.
Right now, you'll end up making a good chunk of your active members moderators which defeats the purpose really.

Carry on though, don't stop on account of my reasoning unless you want to Wink

It's more of the fact that we are LACKING moderation,
Omegas is the only one around atm.

I am on most of the day on omegadev, i tend to stay up late and watch topics.

I make facesets and sprites you can see my work here onomegadev. I love to help people and tend to be kind to most.
I dont take flaming and
cursing lightly, and tend to get irritated at double posters.

if i get the position i will try to get you new resources every month, from face sets to recolors.

Around 6 resource moderator applications.
1 coding moderator application.
2 development moderator applications.

We are accepting around 2 resource mods (maybe 3, remember that we only have one music artist here Wink

), 1 coding mod, and 1 development mod.

Results will be known around tomorrow.
Some people forgot the favorite color, but, this requirement might be removed IF the applicant is actually good (experienced, very skilled, etc).

Omegas I noticed you name is red now. Does this mean that the new mods will have their own colors now too?

Mods will have the color representing their moderation group (Resource Mods are green, development mods are blue...). Admins are red. Now you're wondering why I wasn't red before. Well, I had to fix some stuff...

And yeah, Dezz is no longer a moderator. He can still apply for a position in a future though.
