Idea!

Ok Omegas and Dez I got an Idea. Listen up. Since OmegaDev is on the phase of turning to RMVX we will just do the simple task. Erase everyones warn their whatever. The rules are:

1. If you spam,argue,complain,judje,pick-on,correct harshly,post bad sites,upload bad pictures,Etc.

You will be banned. Period

1st ban= 2 weeks
2nd ban= 1 month
3rd ban= 3 months
4th ban= 1 year
5th ban= I.P Banned

Easy as that even I'LL stop if this is applied OmegaDev is a peaceful community let's leave it that way

We can't instantly ban someone for 2 weeks for complaining nor arguing... nor any of the situations you said recently... once.

First off, that would leave you banned for a month, second off, some people don't read the rules and accidentally double post/spam (Anyone remember my Zit incident on RMVX? Ha.) I'm fine with the warn system. It will scare people (Like I got scared on RMVX) and send us a message to stop fucking around. I just wish we didn't need it, that's all.

We shouldn't really even have this problem quite honestly.

And those ban times are way too long.

I've been banned before... It wasen't that long. I don't mean like little tiny accident's I mean like head-on arguments I mean like someone saying you son of a bitch can't you just fucking burn in the rotten depths of hell you asshole) like that. As for other minor thing like double posting that's no threat. But other thinks like picking on harrasing that's an issue that's been happening on MANY sites. So they should just be banned a day or so. Oh and you get warnings as well. 1st warning 2nd and 3rd. If you get over 3rd your banned. But again minor things like double post? no deal. But other things like arguments spam and should be avoided

I've noticed a lack of rules. Or at least I can't find them. I don't mind this at all, but it's interesting and relevant.

And Dezz, there are no general site rules?

We got rules? Really? Oh nevermind they're probably outdated.

I say we keep the warning bar, but we won't instantly ban members >:0
If they keep breaking common rules, well, just minor verbal warns and so on until it becomes obvious the member is not caring about OmegaDev...

As for the rules, lets write new ones here to celebrate our new... err.......... politics? Whatever

We shouldn't punish arguing... And I'm not just saying this because I get into arguments in a weekly basis. What we should punish are flame wars. One thing is having a hot-headed argument with a reason. Another thing is a flame war, as Shady described:

That should be punished (Not Shady for posting this, but if an argument turns into something like this), not arguments with fundament.

About punishing picking on people, that I agree. Yes, I know that I picked on Shady and called him "special". That won't happen again, I realized I shouldn't do to others what I wouldn't like done to me.

And if we start punishing complaining... I'm out. If we disagree with a mod or admin's posture or actions, we're supposed to shut up?

No... you must keep arguing (seriously). If you believe in your own arguments, I see no reason to shut up. Keep fighting. This is very good to find answers and solutions actually, except when everything becomes a flame war...
