The game is called Doodle Jump, found on an IPod Touch.
You continuously jump upwards from platform to platform until you fall, get hit by an enemy, or go into a black hole.

I can't remember the name it's hard to type
and say... It's jap by the same
person who made the FF XIII battle system
It's more of a Metroid style thing though
